Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan: Unforgettable Scottish Highlands Tour
No address available
We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally). After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

We had an absolutely amazing trip from Inverness through the Scottish Highlands to the Isle of Skye. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish, truly one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve had. Our guide, Donnie, was fantastic. He was warm, funny, and incredibly engaging, and he shared stories and thoughts throughout the journey in a way that kept us entertained the entire time. Along the way, we also saw Highland cows and walked across a magical bridge. This tour exceeded all expectations, and Donnie played a huge role in making it unforgettable. Highly recommended.

Donny (and Ronny) were engaging and very informative! It was like having a podcast going while cruising through the Highlands! I was thoroughly entertained 💃 I’d recommend to bring layers as all four seasons may show themselves throughout your trip!

Had a lot of fun — Donnie was an amazing tour guide, a really funny fella, and the views were breathtaking! The entire Highlands day tour, along with the Isle of Skye add-on, felt like stepping into another world. From towering mountains to shimmering lochs, every stop offered something unforgettable. Donnie kept the group laughing while sharing fascinating stories and local history, which made the long drives feel short. The Isle of Skye was the highlight for me, especially the dramatic cliffs and peaceful villages. I left feeling inspired, refreshed, and Had highland songs stuck in my head

It was a really enjoyable trip and amazing experience. Torquil our guide was funny and informative. We begun our journey taking some pictures of Urquhart Castle at Loch Ness and then we headed to Eilean Donan Castle for a fantastic Breakfast/visit before to set foot on Skye.

Emily was amazing. She was really enthusiastic about the history and wildlife of Scotland. Very informative about everywhere we stopped and even made recommendations about where to shop and eat. We had a wonderful time on her tour.

loved this tour we got to see a lot of the Skye (just maybe it would have been better if it was a two hour stop at Portree cause one one hour is not enough to have lunch and walk around the city and shops)
